Don't chicken out!

Now that the assessment is complete, don't allow yourself to chicken out!  Odds are, you're feeling overwhelmed, and a bit unsure that you can really get rid of all this stuff.

Believe me!  You can do it!  And you'll be so glad you did!

You've completed the assessment stage where you realize all that you DON'T need.  The next step in this process is deciding what you really do need.  Decide what you DO NEED, and get rid of the rest!

First, detach from your stuff - emotionally and physically -- then you start to purge!  So much of purging is not giving in to your feelings, but rather using your head.

It's always easiest to take this portion room by room, as we did with the assessment stage.  Purging may be easiest to do in multiple rounds.  Round one, being getting rid of the junk - the stuff you've decided you don't need and will never use again.  Round two, being getting rid of the clutter.  And while all junk is clutter, not all clutter is junk!  It may be perfectly good stuff, that you can donate or share with a friend.

You have to be honest with yourself during this stage:  What has value to your life, and what doesn't...

You have to be tough!  Tell yourself the following things:
1) I'm making room for a new life
2) I'm not going to settle for living with junk
3) I don't care who gave it to me...It has to go!

Are you ready to get started?  Tomorrow we are going to talk about how to get rid of these unnecessary things, and the proper way to dispose of them.

Until tomorrow... get ready!  Prepare your thinking.  Begin to detach: You are not your things - your things do not define you.  You're going to love your new space!

Only By His Grace,

Billie
