Why not treat them to a handmade gift? I've recently become enamored with handmade cup coozys.
Check out these samples:
Wouldn't this be a cute way to "gift" them? And what about stuffing a gift card in there for a local coffee shop?
Interested in knitting or crocheting one of these? The finished size should be 4 inches by 10 inches. Either knit in a rib at the top and the bottom, or knit in button holes and add buttons. Shouldn't take very long. What a great teacher gift? Reusable, too!
Not a knitter or a crocheter? What about craft felt? Or Polar Fleece scraps? Or Burlap?
These little projects wouldn't take very long at all. Embroider? You could add a cute little phrase like, "Perk up" or an initial.
One crafter used double stick tape to fasten the sides. Pretty clever, huh?
Want an exact pattern? Next time you're at Starbucks and they give you a sleeve, take it home and use it for a pattern. Hey, it's all about reduce, reuse and recycle!
This is such a great and easy idea. You could make one for all your neighbors in a night. What about folks in your small group? What about teachers?
Think outside the box. Christmas is right around the corner!
Only By His Grace,
Billie
Afterthought: After I wrote this post I sat down to see how long it would actually take.
I knitted one in less than 2 hours.
